From our pricing, cancellation policy, to how and when to book your appointment, we got you covered! Here are the answers to some of the most typically asked questions by our past customers.
We believe that hair has no gender only personality. Gender-neutral pricing means our charges are set according to your hair's length, your styling needs, and a combination of our years of experience and talent/skills. With this, we aim to break the norm of men’s and women’s pricing based on gender.
We offer all types of styles that range from classic clean cuts to fun creative cuts! The possibilities are endless. If you have a vision we will bring it to life. Please refer to our Services menu for a more detailed description of our services.
Because we are a niche studio, all of our stylists have their own strengths. The best way to determine which artist would best suit your needs is to check out our Team menu for a detailed description of each artist, contact us through email, or for a better visual you can visit our instagram page @lesstudio.to where you can find each artists work and profiles.
4- We can definitely help guide you in the right direction however we do recommend bringing inspiration photos to your appointment so that we can further assess what looks best!
You can always ask what someone’s pronouns are. If you are shy/nervous or just don’t get the chance to, you can assume gender neutral pronouns (they/them) until corrected.
All haircuts include a consultation, wash and style.
Haircuts include a hair wash, and styling with either product or blow-dry.
Yes, we do for kids 10 and under! However only a few of our artists offer this service. Please refer to our booking page to see which stylist has this service available. Please note all specialty haircuts including creative and curly haircuts are exempt from kids cut pricing.
Yes. All of our stylists have different specialities and sometimes cannot provide all the services you are looking for. You can book a colour with one artist and a cut with another artist. Or you can book multiple services with the same artist.
Depending on the stylist we recommend booking anywhere from a few days to a month prior. We try to accommodate where we can but we only have so much time available. Our busiest seasons are the month of June and December.
11 -Both locations have street parking along College street. For our Bathurst location, there is also free parking on Borden Street for 1hr. There is also a paid parking lot at the south west corner of Bathurst and College. For our Ossington location you will find free parking along Ossington street.
We have a 15 minute grace period, please call and let us know if you are running late. If you are exceeding the grace period your service may be limited or rescheduled. You may also encounter a cancelation/no-show fee.
We require 24hr notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. After that you will be charged a fee that is 100% of your service cost.
If the studio is closed or you can’t reach us via phone call, please send an email.
All services more than 2hrs in length require a $100 non-refundable booking fee made to lesstudio.to@gmail.com. This fee will be deducted from your total at the end of your service. If you need to cancel/reschedule your appointment prior to our 24-hour policy, we will be happy to transfer your booking fee and use it for your next colour service. If you need to cancel, no show or reschedule your appointment within 24 hours you will, unfortunately, forfeit your deposit and we would require another $100 deposit to rebook.
Failure to submit a booking fee may result in the cancellation of your appointment. Please also note that if you do not book a consultation prior to your appointment and end up being rescheduled as a result of booking the incorrect service, you may be subject to the cancelation fee as well.
Our official points of contact are phone call or email. If we can’t come to the phone, the shops may be busy at the moment or closed for the day. Please leave a voicemail or an email with your questions/requests and someone will get back to you.
Our instagram DMs, including artists personal profiles, are no longer a form of valid communication.
We accept Cash, Debit, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Apple Pay
Masking: We have a few staff members that always mask. As well as upon request, we can have all staff to mask for the duration of your appointment. Please feel free to ask for this prior to your appointment, and we will be happy to accommodate.
We have a washroom with antibacterial soap for you to use before and/or after your appointment, as well as hand sanitizer.
We tend to have less staff working in the mornings during the week which means less clients in the space.
Our space is limited but you can bring a support person to your appointment.
For any color questions, please book our complimentary Colour Consultation. This can be done with any of our colorists via phone or in person, they will help you with what and how to book. Please leave a note on the consult appointment if you would like a phone call.
Balayage can generally last anywhere from 4-6 months and, if maintained properly, can last a maximum of 8 months.
Entrance: Both locations have a couple steps to get inside - we have ramps for both shops that can be put out prior to your appointment .
We do not have automatic door buttons, if you need assistance getting inside let your stylist know ahead of time and we will coordinate.
Unfortunately we do not have accessible bathrooms. For the Ossington location, the A&W across the street has an accessible bathroom.
If having your hair washed in the sink is not accessible for you, we can spray your hair down or do a dry cut depending on what is needed for the service.
Allergies: Please let us know if you have any allergies so we can avoid using products containing your allergens. Feel free to contact us ahead of time to ask questions about our products or how we can accommodate your service.
Sensory needs: Mornings during the week are when the least amount of people are in the shop, making it quieter than most other times. You can ask any stylist for a silent appointment, meaning the stylist will only talk to you about the service being provided. You can ask for no products to be put in your hair or to not have your hair dried as well.
Privacy: The Ossington location has a room that is curtained off for anyone who needs/wants a more private service. Unfortunately our hair washing sinks are unable to be closed off, but we can spray down your hair or do a dry cut instead to accommodate.

The last saturday of the month, booked through email ONLY. We make a post on our instagram stories the Monday before letting you know bookings are open. These days are intended to help out people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford a haircut. All money is donated to local charities.

If you are unsure what length your hair is please book the longer option and we will adjust the service accordingly! Example - if you think you are between medium and long, book a long haircut.

They are exactly that. A quote/estimate is given on the day of your consult as well as at the start of appointment. Please be aware that they are subject to change during your service if the estimated time/product usage exceeds the initial estimate/quote.
While mistakes can happen it is very important to book a consultation with your stylist prior to booking a colour appointment. Rescheduling the day of may result in a cancelation fee. *Please refer to our cancelation policy for more details*
Don’t stress! We got you covered. We offer a one time revision within 7 days of your original appointment. Please contact us via email with a photo of your hair and the inspo photos used during the appointment if you brought any and we can set something up for you.
Due to the nature of our work we unfortunately do not offer refunds.
Yes we do! At the moment you can buy virtual ones online using the link on our Instagram bio or you can head over to the studio to get a physical copy!
