LES is one of the very few Inclusive Gender Neutral Hair Studios in Toronto. Inspired by the Lower East Side in New York City, we are now up and running at 392 College St, Toronto. At our very core, we are a queer, women & immigrant-owned hair studio. Our hair artists range in specialties from barbering, hairstyling to coloring, therefore providing the best all-round hair experience for you in one place.
We are an inclusive studio that believes hair defines who we are and how we feel. No matter who you are or whatever you’re going through, we don’t discriminate.
We believe that hair has no gender, only personality. With our gender-neutral pricing, we aim to break the norm of men’s and women’s pricing based on gender.
We believe in giving you the haircut that YOU want and not what we think you want. Although we can guide you in making a choice.
We offer pay-what-you-can haircuts once a month. By supporting different LGBTQ+ charities, we believe in giving back to our community.

We are the founders of LES Studio, an inclusive gender-neutral hair studio located in Downtown Toronto catering to all hair types. Having a hairstyle that defines you shouldn’t be as difficult as it is. Therefore we are aiming on eliminating gender pricing and stereotypes on haircuts that are gender-based.
We met in 2017 working at a barbershop located in Toronto. Shortly after we were looking for adventure and decided to move to New York City. We became quite fascinated with the Lower East Side neighborhood as we both had the opportunity to work in that pocket for some time.
The phrase “gender-neutral” came to light as this was something we both weren’t used to hearing back in Toronto. After getting familiar with it, we loved it and decided to bring it back to our hometown. We make the perfect team for this because we are both very passionate about hair, and have our own strengths as artists. While Daniela’s strengths are medium, long & creative textured styles. Nancy works best with short tight fades to mid-lengths & creative short hair.

We now require 48-hour notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
All colour services now require a $100 non-refundable booking fee made to lesstudio.to@gmail.com. This fee will be deducted from your total at the end of your colour service. If you need to cancel/reschedule your appointment prior to our 48-hour policy, we will be happy to transfer your booking fee and use it for your next colour service. If you need to cancel, no show or reschedule your appointment within 48 hours you will, unfortunately, forfeit your deposit and we would require another $100 deposit to rebook.
Failure to submit a booking fee may result in the cancelation of your appointment.
